Weekend fun...

We had so much fun this past weekend!

We took Jack swimming at the rec center...and he had a blast!

On Saturday, Barry and Brian ran in a 10 mile relay race.

They both did a great job... way to go, guys!

It was a beautiful (but windy) day for Jack and I to go to the race and enjoy some sunshine too!

Brian and Barry were challenged by our friends, Emily and Mindy to the race. I think the girls had the best time in the end....nice work, ladies! Cristina (Brian's wife) and I were proud of all 4 of them as we cheered from the sidelines!

Last weekend, Jack and I went to Case Western to watch "5 for Gold" (Barry and Jayson) play at a Relay For Life event. It was a bit chilly- but we really enjoyed the music!

What a beautiful weekend...

We most certainly enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend at the park! Jack LOVED swinging and playing in the mulch chips (I'm not sure which one he enjoyed more!)The rock wall was also a big hit!

Extreme nesting...

I think my extreme nesting instinct has kicked in to high-gear and I may need some type of 30 day treatment plan if I am not careful!  This weekend, I cleaned the entire fridge and freezer bleaching every square inch and then organizing like a mad-woman.  I'm not even sure the pictures do justice.  :)

I also organized the pantry which was a huge task...I should have taken a before and after picture!

I also organized the linen closet, under the bathroom sink, and a few random cabinets in the kitchen.  During Jack's 4 hour afternoon nap (which was an amazing feat by itself!) Barry and I cleaned and organized the basement.  Pictures would definitely not do the basement justice as there are still a lot of boxes and plastic tubs...but at least they are organized now!  I finally stopped when I realized that I was cleaning the under side of the washer lid...

Today.... let the nesting begin in Audrey's room!!!

Easter basket

 We had a wonderful Easter day as a family!  It was a very laid-back day as we all stayed in our pj's for most of the day!  Jack has an ear infection and Barry and I are both battling a sinus infection... but even through some sickness, Jack was such a happy little guy while opening his Easter basket (and all day, really!)

Happy Easter, 2009!

Yesterday, we dyed Easter eggs!  What a fun experience!  

Jack only threw one egg on the floor while dying... not bad!

Jack even had fun using the crayon to scribble on the eggs!

Later...Jack was so tickled with his final product!

He even tried the eggs...although they were not really a big hit!  

I am hoping the weather is warm enough to hunt for eggs outside!

I have been meaning to post Jack's 12 month picture with his teddy bear! I can hardly believe that 12 months (well really 13 now) have passed already! It has truly been one of the best years of my life... I feel so blessed!

A few weekends ago, I tackled making Eggs Benedict with home-made hollandaise sauce. It was quite the challenge- but completely worth it in the end!


Today we will be dying Easter Eggs...I will be sure to post those pictures later tonight or tomorrow!

We (well, Barry, while I supervise) are also going to put together the last piece of Audrey's furniture and try to get her room finished by the end of the weekend!



At our last apointment, we scheduled our C-section for Friday May 1st. I can hardly wait to meet and hold our sweet little Audrey!

A new friend is born...

Our dear friends, Tara and Nate, welcomed their second little girl into their family on Wednesday! Welcome, baby Aubrey Suzanne!  We are so excited to meet you!

Getting Audrey's room ready...

Last weekend, we started preparing Audrey's room! The under 30 day countdown is on for her arrival! We are all very excited to meet her!

Jack was really wanting to help Daddy paint!!!

In fact, at one point, Jack DID help Daddy paint...the carpet!

But he still enjoyed watching Daddy paint!

Audrey's furniture arrived a few days ago!!! Jack loved climbing on the boxes!

We are all so excited for the warm weather of spring to arrive and stay! A few weekends ago, Jack enjoyed the park! He really loved playing with bubbles!
