Settling In...

Box after box, the Spurlock house is beginning to feel like a home! Last week, we were lucky enough to have Deb and Shana (Barry's Mom and Sister) visit to begin the unpacking process. We had a wonderful day visiting and unpacking with them. We even got to squeeze in a delicious dinner at Bucca de Beppo!

This weekend; my Dad, Courtney, and Abbey came to help in the unpacking fun! Dad and Barry worked so hard to finish Jack's room! They painted and put up the chair-rail and put together all of Jack's furniture.

Courtney, Abbey, and I worked to unpack kitchen and dining room boxes and we all enjoyed a wonderful Panera lunch in our newly-unpacked dining room! Abbey was such a big help in folding Jack's new clothes, too!

Update...

Tomorrow, the movers ("Two Men and a Truck") are coming at 8:00 am and I am very excited about that! The big plan is to spend the night in our new house tomorrow night!!! Cross your fingers for us!
Kitchen appliances won't be delivered until Friday- so I guess we will have to eat-out until then!!! :) The carpets got cleaned yesterday- and they look great! I'm so glad we were able to squeeze that in before we got the furniture all moved in. Tonight, Barry is painting Jack's room and hopefully, he will be able to finish it by the end of the weekend!
Much love! Pictures will be coming soon.... as soon as we unpack the camera!!!!!

Inspiring message...

A NEWBORN'S CONVERSATION WITH GOD
A baby said to God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing, smile, and be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking their life."

"But I will be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard. The child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

God said, "You will simply call her, 'Mom'."

Thank you for sending this to me, Shana! I have passed it on to all of the new Mommy's in my life! I am so excited to meet Jack and become the best Mother I can be to him!
