Happy 1 Month Birthday, Jack!

We can hardly believe a month has already passed since Jack was born! This past month has been filled with extreme amounts of love, joy, and happiness. (a few nights with minimal sleep, too---but even sleepless nights are no match for the wonderful days that we share together!) We feel so blessed to have a healthy and happy baby boy in our family!

Jack's Aunt Shana started a really neat tradition that we are going to adopt! Each month, Shana took a picture of our nephews next to a teddy bear. I so enjoyed watching the boys grow through these pictures that I wanted to continue the tradition with Jack. MaMaw Debbie (Barry's Mom) bought this adorable teddy bear for Jack. Thanks, MaMaw Debbie!

Happy Easter

WOW- What a wonderful weekend! Jack's first Easter was so much fun!

On Saturday, we got to visit with the Luzny side of the family at Aunt Helen's house! More pictures are sure to come from that visit...Shannon has many more on her camera and I will post some of them soon.

On Sunday, we went to church with the Wisemans to celebrate Easter. It was so nice to enjoy the church service with family. Jack slept through most of it...but really enjoyed the music and being in Caleb's arms! After church, we enjoyed a huge Easter Feast with the Spurlock side of the family. The Wiseman nephews did a great job hunting eggs...hopefully next year, it will be warm and sunny on Easter and we can hunt eggs outside!

Bath Time

Spring is here and our baby is 3 weeks old today! Life is so good!

Jack just had a bath and we are getting ready for the big day...Grandpa McNeill is coming for a visit today!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Yesterday, Jack celebrated St. Patty's Day in style!

We had a very exciting day... we went to the Mall together to buy Jack's Easter outfit! I can't wait to see him in his new little argyle sweater! We almost got our picture taken with the Easter Bunny...but Jack was a bit terrified of him! We cruised the Mall and also hit Babies R Us for a few last minute purchases...

We had a wonderful day together!

Family Visit

This week, Jack was lucky enough to visit with his Aunt Shana, oldest cousin Caleb, and both Grandmas! Here are a few pictures from the visit! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Jack!

Here is a slide show of our time in the hospital with Jack. There are a few pictures at the end of the slide show from home too! Enjoy!

We went into the hospital last Tuesday evening to have our labor induced (due to my high blood pressure). After many hours of labor, and Jack's decreasing heart rate, we had to have a C-section on Thursday morning to bring Jack into the world. In some of the pictures, you will see a small sticker on his forehead...that was to help measure his Jaundice levels.

We are home now and Jack is truly thriving! What a miracle!

Happy Birthday, Jackson James!

On February 28th, 2008 Jackson James Spurlock joined our family! He weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and was 18 inches long.

He is a wonderful addition to our family and we feel so blessed to have him home with us! We got to come home from the hospital on Monday. Jack is eating and sleeping well and when he is awake; his eyes are so bright and filled with wonder!

We are working on a slide show of our time in the hospital to recap his birth story. Hopefully, we will have that posted within the next few days! :)
