Sidewalk chalk

Today was one of the most beautiful days! We took a walk, went to the park, ate lunch outside and then topped the day off with sidewalk chalk...how fun!
I have to tell you a funny story...
Yesterday, I was determined to get both kids out of the house by 10:00 and go to a breastfeeding support group for mom's. I was so very proud of myself when both kiddos were fed, bathed (because of sticky french toast breakfast for Jack and a bath for Audrey because- well, she really needed one) and dressed before 10:00! I mean, I was REALLY proud of myself! When we finally got to Group (25 minutes away from our house), the door was locked and there were no cars in the parking lot. I called my dear friend Maria to see if the location had been moved (after all, I had not checked email in days). Sadly, she informed me that it was THURSDAY and of course, Group meets on WEDNESDAYS! :)
So much for my pride!
On to the sidewalk chalk pictures....

Another busy weekend...

Our wonderful friends, Neeley and Casey, came for a visit this past weekend! We all had so much fun while they were visiting! During the day, we went to the park!
Neeley and Jack
Casey, Jack, and Neeley

Dan and Jack
(Jack loved wearing Dan's watch and they are both too cool with their collars popped!)

On Sunday, we went to a cookout at the Saul's house. Jack loved playing outside with his new buddies!

He REALLY loved the ball pit!

We finally got our flowers planted!

Busy night...

Jack and Audrey helped me in the kitchen while I was making dinner tonight.....and I just happend to catch this kiss from big brother!
Jack and Daddy had fun outside while dinner was on the grill!

We attempted to plant some flowers tonight...but didn't get finished... long story... hopefully, we can try again tomorrow! Jack had fun playing in the dirt, though!

Audrey's first "real" bath

Audrey had her first "real" bath today! Yeah!
She seemed to really enjoy the soak- although this picture does not quite capture her enjoyment!

Squeaky clean and calm after a nice warm bath!

Jack's First Haircut

Jack had his first haircut yesterday!
Here is his 'before' picture with Daddy.
A little confused at first...
(the big scrape on his forehead happened when Mr. Brave started walking/running last week outside!)

Jack did a great job sitting still during his haircut!

He loved the hair dryer!

Miss. Audrey slept through the whole thing! :)

After his haircut, we went shopping....and Jack loved the mirrors!

Jack talking on the phone...

Jack's Aunt Abbey got this phone for him when they came to visit a few weekends ago! Jack loves it and actually pretends to be talking on it! I only wish I knew what he was saying!!!

We are all doing great and adjusting quite well to having two little ones! I go to the dr. today for my two-week check up and Audrey goes back to her dr. next week for a weight-check.

So, Jack decided that he wanted to be a big boy and eat his food on the table with mom and dad. That worked fine for peas, chicken and corn-on-the-cob. When he went for the yogurt, however, the wheels fell off...

Mother's Day

What a wonderful day we have had today...I must be one of the luckiest Mommy's in the whole world!  Our day started with a pancake breakfast made by Daddy and Jack.

I received the most beautiful cards from Barry and both kiddos...I will cherish them forever.  In my last card, I was instructed to look on the deck for a surprise...a lilac bush!  Every Mother's Day, it will be blooming!

Jack helped Daddy plant the lilac bush!

We had a yummy cook-out dinner and Jack got to try corn on the cob---a HUGE hit!

Miss. Audrey had to dress for the occasion as well!

Monthly Teddy Bear pictures begin...

Here is our sweet little Audrey Kay next to her new teddy bear!  We will be taking monthly pictures of her next to her bear to show how much she grows throughout the next year!

Hospital pictures...

Here are a few pictures from Shana's camera from our stay in the hospital!
We are all so happy to be home! Audrey has fit so seamlessly into our family and Jack is being so gentle and sweet to her. When I think about the blessing that we have been given, I can hardly keep my cheeks dry!

a huge THANK YOU!

We want to say thank you to all of our friends and family for helping during Audrey's birthday and the following days!  Thank you, Deb and Shana, for coming to Cleveland and taking such wonderful care of Jack while we were in the hospital!  It means more to us than we can possibly put into words!

Thank you to all of our visitors and for all of you that are sending your thoughts, prayers, and cards our way!  We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that love us so very much!

Thank you, Neeley...for coming to our house on the day we came home to help take care of Jack!

Thank  you, Brock and Kevin for bringing dinner last night!  It was so great to see you!

I have not been very diligent about taking pictures with all of our visitors- I will try to do better about that! :)  Here are a few pictures that we did capture...

Audrey Kay's arrival!!!!

Our beautiful daughter made her debut on April 29th, 2009 at 1:05 pm.  She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz and was 19 inches long.  She came a few days early (her scheduled c-section was for May 1st) as I went into labor on my own last Tuesday evening.  Around 1:00 am, I started feeling these little pains which woke me for the rest of the night.  I wasn't convinced they were actually contractions until 5:00 am when they were coming like clockwork every 6 minutes!

This picture was taken as we were walking out the door before Audrey arrived!

Here we go...
on the way to meet Audrey!

First kisses with Daddy.
First kisses with Mommy.

Here is our wonderful midwife, Pat!

Welcome, Audrey!
Big brother, Jack came to the hospital!  He loved playing peek-a-boo behind the curtain!
Our first picture of "The Family of 4"

Let's go home!
